Selvana Sedhom, LD, a Licensed Clinical Dietitian based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). Following the successful completion of a specialized education and training program in Bariatric Science, she has earned the prestigious credential of Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).

Ms. Sedhom received her professional training in Science and Dietetics from the United Arab Emirates University. Her clinical dietician specialty is medical nutrition therapy, disease management and individualized treatment plans. Currently she is practicing at Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital, supporting long-term patients with complex dietary needs. In addition to her clinical work, she produces a public health YouTube channel dedicated to nutrition education, translating scientific evidence into practical, accessible and useful guidelines.

To provide best practices she recognized the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science and pursued a fellowship with AABC. Considering her specialized training and clinical experience AABC awarded her with a fellowship scholarship. Her certification as a BCBC will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
