Sara El Baba, RD, LD, a Registered and Licensed Clinical Dietitian based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). Following the successful completion of a specialized education and training program in Bariatric Science, she has earned the prestigious credential of Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).

Sara earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and brings over 10 years of experience in medical nutrition therapy, with a career spanning both Lebanon and the UAE. She currently serves as the Dietitian In-Charge and Bariatric Dietitian at NMC Royal Hospital, Abu Dhabi.

To provide best practices she recognized the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science, and pursued AABC Board Certification. In light of her specialized training and vast clinical experience AABC awarded her with a fellowship scholarship. Her certification as a BCBC will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
