Rosmary Martinez, LD/N, a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in South Florida has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC) after completing a specialized training and education program in bariatric science, she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).

Rosmary earned her specialized training and degree in Human Nutrition in Peru and later immigrated to the United States. After successfully meeting all the practice standards of the Commission of Dietetic Registration in the US, she became a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in Florida.

She has over 20 years of experience in community health and weight management. Currently, she is the Senior Public Health Nutritionist for the Florida Health Department. To provide best practices she recognized the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science, which led to a AABC fellowship. AABC awarded her an academic scholarship for her clinical excellence in bariatric care. Her certification as a BCBC as well as professional and clinical experience will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
