Rosabel Ramos, a Licensed Professional Counselor from Laredo, Texas, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized training and education program in bariatric science, she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).
Rosabel attended the University of Texas-Pan American and earned an MA in Clinical Psychology. Currently, she is the director of Student Counseling Services at Texas A&M International University. With more than nine years of clinical experience, her areas of expertise include young adults, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+, codependency, relationships, and chronic trauma. She is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor and is certified to provide Accelerated Resolution therapy.
Recognizing the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led to her fellowship with AABC., AABC awarded her an academic scholarship. Her extensive professional training and clinical experience will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
