Rebecca Johnson, LPC, NCC

Rebecca Johnson, LPC, NCC, a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor practicing in Kennesaw, Georgia, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). Following completion of specialized education and training in Bariatric Science, she was credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).

Rebecca earned her master’s degree from Mercer University and has been practicing for over five years. She is the founder of Coping Path, a private practice in Kennesaw.

She specializes in Women’s Mental Health, with a strong focus on life transitions, identity development, emotional regulation, and the psychological aspects of medical and weight-related conditions. In addition she conducts bariatric pre-surgical psychological evaluations and provides ongoing therapeutic treatment.

Recognizing the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led her to pursue certification with AABC. She was awarded an academic scholarship for her clinical excellence and dedication to bariatric care. Her certification as a BCBC will help advance the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
