Pichet Nampulsuksan, M.D., ABAARM., C.B.C., who works as a Bariatric Physician at Vitallife Wellness Center at the Bumrungrad hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized training and education program in Bariatric Science, Dr. Nampulsuksan was credentialed as a Board Certified Bariatric Counselor (CBC) on September 17, 2013.
Dr. Nampulsuksan worked with the American Board of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine. He received a Certificate of Compounding Pharmacy, PCCA in Australia. He also did a Gastrointestinal Surgery Clerkship in Barcelona, Spain, training in Medical High Altitude Training at the New South Wales Institute of Sports (NSWIS) in Australia, practiced in Integrative Anti-aging Exercise, Weight Loss and Bariatric Medicine in many clinics and hospitals in Bangkok since 2009. He is also a professor at Mae FahLuang University for the course “Anti-Aging Sports and Wellness Medicine” and Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine in Siriraj Hospital at Mahidol University in Thailand in 2012.
Board Certified Bariatric Professionals are already licensed/certified health and education professionals. They include medical doctors, educators, psychologists, nurses, nutritionists and other disciplines that engage in research, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of obesities and related disorders.
The pandemic of obesity and the need for specialized Bariatric Science led to the development of AABC that now has a national and international fellowship.
Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors affirms that its follows have successfully completed all requisite training and education and must continue their specialized training and education to maintain Board Certification
