Ninel Simonian, LMFT, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from Glendale, CA, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized training and education program in Bariatric Science, she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).

Ninel Simonian has been providing psychotherapy services for over 10 years. She has worked in various settings, treating a range of pathologies including Eating Disorders, Mood Disorders, and Substance Abuse. In addition to her to her specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy she is trained/certified in several evidenced based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Neurofeedback Therapy in her current practice, Ms. Simonian specializes in issues affecting adults with mood disorders, work/life balance, and personal growth.

Recognizing the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led to her fellowship with AABC. AABC awarded her an academic scholarship. Her clinical experience and unique professional training will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
