Jaye Odom, PsyD, Awarded National Bariatric Board Certification

Jaye Odom, PsyD, BCBA-D

Jaye Odom, PsyD, BCBA-D, a clinical psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst, from Albuquerque, New Mexico has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized fellowship training and education program in bariatric science, she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (CBC).

Dr. Odom earned her doctorate degree in psychology from Rutgers University, with specialized concentrations in multiculturalism and pediatrics. She currently works at the University of New Mexico Sandoval Regional Center as a clinical psychologist. She is an integral member of their primary care bariatric teams

Practicing as a generalist, she uses both specialized and transdiagnostic approaches to treat a variety of presenting issues across the lifespan. In addition, Dr. Odom is board certified in behavior analysis at the doctoral level, and provides Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She is a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation and a fluent Spanish-speaker

Recognizing Dr. Odom’s s unique training and clinical experience, AABC awarded her a fellowship scholarship for their certification program. Her certification as a CBC will further the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care and treatment and prevention of obesities and related disorders.
