Jackilyn M. Andrew MSW, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social worker from Wisconsin, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC).
After completing a specialized training and education program in bariatric science, she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).
Jackilyn completed her undergraduate and graduate education and training in Social Work at Indiana University. She has worked in clinical settings, providing therapy to a variety of populations with many varying mental health concerns for over 15 years.
Currently, she provides individual therapy at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Wisconsin. In addition, she performs their requisite pre-bariatric surgery assessments as well as conducts a behavioral health group for patients preparing for bariatric surgery.
Recognizing the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led her to pursue a fellowship with AABC. AABC awarded her an academic scholarship for her excellence in bariatric care. Her certification as a BCBC as well as professional and clinical training and experience will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
