Frieda Fontaine, NDTR, CPT, a Registered Nutrition and Dietetic Technician and Certified Personal Trainer, from Los Angeles, has been awarded National Board

Frieda Fontaine, NDTR, CPT, CBC

Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors, (AABC). After completing a specialized fellowship training and education program in bariatric science, she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (CBC).

Frieda received her education at the University of Southern California. Subsequently she earned a Ph.D. in Holistic Nutrition. As a private practitioner she specializes in the treatment of obesity and concomitant comorbidities. Clinically she has managed the dietary department of skilled nursing facilities and provided nutrition counseling in underserved communities.

Recognizing her unique clinical experience and commitment to public health, AABC awarded her a fellowship scholarship. Her professional stature, public health accomplishments and clinical experience will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
