Dr. Saema Rahmany, PsyD, is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized training and education program in bariatric science, she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).

Dr. Rahmany completed her undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University and earned her doctoral degree in Clinical and Forensic Psychology from Alliant International University – California School of Professional Psychology.

Her clinical mental health experience includes correctional psychology, telehealth leadership and pre-surgical bariatric clinical assessment. For more than 10 years she has provided psychological services to diverse populations, with a focus on trauma, anxiety, and behavioral health. Dr. Rahmany is also the National Clinical Director of a telepsychology practice, where she leads a multidisciplinary team serving clients throughout California and Oregon.

Recognizing the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led her to pursue certification with AABC, where she was awarded an academic scholarship for her vast clinical excellence and dedication to bariatric care. Her certification as a BCBC will help advance the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
