Chanin Santini, LCSW, CST, a licensed clinical social worker and AASECT-certified sex therapist in California and Pennsylvania, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). Following completion of a specialized education and training in Bariatric Science, she was credentialed as a Board Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).

Chanin graduated from City College of New York with her Bachelor’s in Psychology. She then attended graduate school at Widener University where she received a dual Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work and Human Sexuality. She has over 10 years of clinical mental health experience including hospital social work, homelessness and working with Veterans and their families.

Chanin specializes in working with relationship dynamics, sexuality, and emotional well-being. She is particularly passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, couples navigating complex relational challenges, and those exploring nontraditional relationship structures. With a deeply affirming and inclusive approach, she meets clients where they are while gently guiding them toward greater clarity, self-understanding, and connection.

Recognizing the importance of best practices, she pursued specialized training in Bariatric Science and attained AABC Board Certification. Based on her advanced training and extensive clinical experience, AABC awarded her a fellowship scholarship. Her BCBC certification will contribute to AABC’s global mission of advancing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
