Dr. Michael Magdalinski, Ph.D, Awarded National Bariatric Board Certification

Dr. Michael Magdalinski, Ph.D, BCBC

Dr. Michael Magdalinski, a licensed psychologist in Wyomissing, PA, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized training and education program in bariatric science, he was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).

Dr. Magdalinski earned his doctorate at St Louis University and completed his clinical internship at Wilford Hall Medical Center. Currently, he is practicing at Reading Hospital Weight Loss Surgery and Wellness Center. As an integral member of their weight loss surgery team, he provides pre and post-counseling, facilitates support groups, and conducts pre-surgical evaluations.

Recognizing the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led to his fellowship with AABC. AABC awarded him an academic scholarship. His extensive professional training and clinical experience will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related disorders.

Rachael Buckner, RN, CMSRN Awarded National Bariatric Board Certification

Rachael Buckner, RN, CMSRN, BCBC

Rachael Buckner. RN, CMSRN, a Registered Nurse from Concord, North Carolina has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized training and education program in bariatric science, she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).

Rachael completed her professional nursing education and training program at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences, in Concord, NC, and now has more than 18 years of clinical experience. Her clinical experience includes a specialty in bariatric care.

Personal experience and transformation after her bariatric surgery sparked an interest in helping others overcome obesity and related disorders.
