Alexander Keiner, LSW, a Licensed Social Worker from Linwood, NJ, has been awarded
National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC).
After completing a specialized fellowship training and education program in bariatric science
he was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (BCBC).
Mr. Keiner received his graduate social work education and training at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. He has years of clinical experience providing therapeutic services to adolescents, adults, couples, and families seeking help with depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders and counseling for phase of life transitions. He believes client-centered collaboration is the most effective tool to guide clients towards their goals. He stated that, “Human beings are not a one- size-fits-all and require individual treatment and care”. His treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a specialty in Trauma-Focused CBT, he incorporates elements of Interpersonal Theory and Person Centered Theory.
Because of his clinical accomplishments and professional stature in the mental health
community, AABC awarded him an academic fellowship scholarship. Undoubtedly, he will
help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment and
prevention of obesity and related disorders.
