Sol Figueroa, RDN, LDN, a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist from Avon Park, Florida, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized fellowship training and education
program in bariatric science she was recently credentialed as a Board Certified Bariatric Counselor (CBC).

Ms. Figueroa completed her professional dietitian/nutrition training at Keiser University in Lakeland FL. Currently she provides outpatient nutrition counseling at AdventHealth Diabetes Center.

With her specialized training and certification, she also provides the very best practices in bariatric care. She is dedicated to the AventHealth principles, “We continue to help the people in our care create a life of whole health by healing their bodies, strengthening their minds and lifting their spirits.

Recognizing her professional stature, clinical skills and commitment to bariatric care and treatment, AABC awarded her a fellowship scholarship. Her professional accomplishments and clinical experience will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment and prevention of obesity and related disorders.

Shaneka Calloway, LPC, CBC Awarded National Bariatric Board Certification

Shaneka Calloway, a Licensed Professional Counselor from San Antonio, Texas, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized fellowship training and education program in bariatric science she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (CBC).

Shaneka earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Angelo State University. Currently she serves as a Bariatric Behavioral Medicine Counselor at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. She is committed to furthering the mission of the Methodist Healthcare System: “Serving Humanity to Honor God”.

Recognizing her professional stature in the health care community and vast clinical experience, AABC awarded her a fellowship scholarship. Her sensitive and genuine concern for patients will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices
